As I was saying...

Yesterday I mentioned the MP housing-allowance scandal convulsing Britain's parliament and asked why we don't do such things here. Today the Speaker of the British House of Commons resigned because Members were convinced he wasn't taking the matter seriously enough.So I ask again: Why don't we do such things here?
