In my latest piece for The Rebel I talk about how Sigmund Freud’s theories, after an obscure start with the release of advance copies of The Interpretation of Dreams on Oct. 22 1899, came to play a large part in making the 20th century a relativistic nightmare. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUkIglKa4dY

In my latest Rebel video I note that on Oct. 15, 1529, Suleiman “The Magnificent” began a retreat from Vienna which his armies had just failed to capture. But he and his successors didn’t give up attacking the West, by land and sea, to concentrate on respecting the rights of their citizens and leaving other people alone. Strange, and ultimately squalid, kind of magnificence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91MN2oR7xrs
