Help us help boys, men and families

On Jan. 6 I was on CTV Ottawa’s “Morning Live” show along with David Shackleton, Executive Director of the Canadian Centre for Men and Families - Ottawa, and Nakita of the Adult Fun Superstore, to talk about our work and the AFS’s “Double the Love” fundraising campaign for our Centre in January.

Please watch, share and consider making a donation, through the AFS or directly via our website.

Wish I'd said that - December 15, 2019

family: the thing on which all civilization is built; the idea that a man and a woman should live largely for the next generation and that they should, to some extent, defer their personal amusements, such as divorce and dissipation, for the benefit of the next generation.”

G.K. Chesterton in Illustrated London News April 22, 1911, quoted in Gilbert! magazine Vol. 6 #5 (March 2003)

Join us Nov. 17 for the Canadian Centre for Men and Families - Ottawa Gala Dinner

Tickets are available via Eventbrite here.

The CCMF-O is an inclusive, safe place in Ottawa-Gatineau where men and boys can go when they need help, including therapy and counseling, peer support, a legal clinic, fathering programs, mentorship and support services for male victims of trauma and violence.

This year’s Gala will feature Joe Enberg’s tale of hardship and recovery, as well as updates on the Centre’s work, a fine buffet and the Capital City Chorus Barbershop Quartet, as well as a silent and live auction to assist in funding the Centre for the coming year.

If you want to know why our work is important, watch this testimonial video from men who’ve benefited from having a safe place to turn to when they need one.
